Dominic Rogic (born 1986 in Nürtingen, Germany) works part-time as an artist and lives in Berlin. He has a master‘s degree in Real Estate Management, Engineering and Architecture (Stuttgart). The art of painting was always a part of his life and the artistic work got more into a profession over the last 8 years. From simple sketching and drawings, mostly architectural, he started to get more and more used to aquarelle paintings.

His paintings are characterized by a recurrent dark and melancholic design. Subjects like solitude, anxiety and depression are being processed within the creation. The tendency for rationality, natural shapes and the techniques of the completed studied sciences are repeating patterns within his work.

@ Haus Der Statistik - Haus D, Berlin Mitte. Lartigue’s paintings, informed by his experiences living in different cities around the world, draws on a cultural history of human-animal representations; seen in ancient Egyptian and Greek mythology as well as the works of artists such as Dali and Picasso. His erotically charged subjects, idealized male bodies combined with the heads of animals, reimagine the male form and create new pathways of desire.
Rubén Lartigue has previously shown his art in Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay and France.
